How Rangerly Works
Rangerly is a safety-focused check-in platform designed for solo adventurers, remote workers, and vulnerable individuals. It helps users stay connected to their trusted circle—without constant monitoring or invasive tracking.
When someone you care about uses Rangerly, they set up scheduled check-ins. If they miss one, Rangerly sends a calm, time-sensitive alert to their designated emergency contacts—like you.
Why You’re Receiving Messages
You’ve been added as an emergency contact by someone who trusts you to help verify their safety if something seems off. You’ll only receive messages if:
- They miss a scheduled check-in
- They signal distress through the app
- A follow-up confirms they’re safe
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
What Messages Look Like
Messages from Rangerly are short, clear, and designed to prompt calm, informed action—not panic. They may include:
- A brief description of the situation
- A link to the user’s recent check-in history
- Suggested next steps
